Bianca Lentini — Creative Creator Behind MOCC

Bianca Lentini is the Creative Creator behind MOCC, bringing together her experience as a graphic designer, educator, curator and researcher with a deep commitment to creativity, belonging and the unique potential of young people.

Originally from Australia, Bianca has built an international career spanning Australia, Italy and France. In 2015, she completed an Internship Program at the Peggy Guggenheim Museum in Venice, gaining valuable experience within one of the world’s most influential institutions for modern art and culture.

For more than a decade, Bianca has worked across education, teaching Art, Design and English in nursery, primary and secondary schools, while also teaching English as a second language, Business English and Art Thinking to tertiary students. From 2018–2019, she worked as a Gallery Teacher at the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne, further developing her interest in creating meaningful connections between young people, art, culture and learning.

Bianca is currently completing the final milestone of her PhD in Design at Monash University, alongside her work as a freelance graphic designer through Bianca Lentini Designs.

Her doctoral research, Visionaries of Tomorrow: Building Belonging Through Co-Design Practices, explores how collaborative design can create stronger feelings of belonging and empower young people to identify, develop and share their unique strengths. The research recognises middle-years learners not simply as students, but as forward thinkers, future leaders and changemakers with diverse cognitive, creative and relational capacities.

The research advocates for a shift away from control-oriented educational approaches towards design-led strategies centred on connection, inquiry, creativity and purpose. In a world that is increasingly unpredictable and rapidly changing, Bianca’s work highlights the importance of equipping young people with the confidence, creativity and resilience to navigate social, cultural and global change.

Through co-design and reflective practice, her research offers both practical and conceptual approaches for educators and young people to foster meaningful engagement, creative confidence, belonging and resilience.

This research forms a fundamental part of Bianca’s vision for MOCC: to create a museum and creative environment where young people are recognised for who they are and what they can become.

MOCC is grounded in the belief that every young person has unique talents, ideas and ways of thinking — and that these strengths do not always have the opportunity to surface within traditional school environments.

Bianca’s vision is to create a place where those talents can be discovered, celebrated and shared; where creativity is not an extra, but a way of understanding the world; and where young people are given the space, encouragement and belonging to see themselves as creators of the future.
